Our steel base system is manufactured from box section cold rolled steel and will provide the perfect base for larger conservatories and also single story timber home extensions. Our base systems are certified under a national scheme, known as a LANTAC certificate, as suitable for use with conservatories and single storey home extensions. stands for "Local Authority National Type Approval Certificate". The bases priced with the conservatories on this web site are the standard type.

The photo below shows the frame of a conservatory assembled onto our steel base.

A two course brick apron is applied to the outside of the base to give the appearance of genuine brick footings. The steel base sections can have insulation inserted into each section prior to being covered by the flooring ( 18mm Sealed T&G chipboard flooring ) both of which can be purchased at most builders merchants
The base shown here was delivered in six sections for fast and easy installation. All bolts, TEC screws and wall-bolts were supplied by DIY Conservatories
